Red Road has developed an Internet-based mapping system that
highlights services for people affected or infected with HIV
or AIDS. The map serves as a useful tool for finding services
that are located close to the map user.
Currently developed information includes:
Online Service Directory: A complete online directory for
HIV/AIDS-related organizations including Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal
AIDS Service Organizations, Health Authorities, Official Test
Sites and other Health Facilities for HIV/AIDS treatments.
Workshop Planning Tool: This consists of information regarding
past HIV/AIDS-related workshops or health panels held by various
ASOs such as the AIDS Society of Kamloops (ASK) and Chee Mamuk
(CM).
Aboriginal HIV/AIDS Statistics for BC: This features HIV
and AIDS rates for the health authority regions of BC for
2002.
