[learn more]

Red Road HIV/AIDS Network Society is using Geographic Information System (GIS) technology to connect people affected or infected with HIV or AIDS to the current services available.

The goal is to build a communications and planning tool that will provide the following services to network members:

  1. A complete and current on-line reference directory to HIV/AIDS service organizations in British Columbia
  2. An HIV/AIDS infection distribution monitor
  3. A resource allocation planning tool:
    1. Presentation, Outreach and Education tracking and planning
    2. Service organization tracking and planning
  4. A research base for answering questions about how and why the disease is spreading and impacting specific communities
  5. Reports and maps to support funding proposals
