Geraldine Trimble
I was born in the Prince Rupert area of BC my Nations are
NISGA'A, Tlingit and Squamish. I was groomed and taught the
language of Nisga'a, which is my mother's nation. My clan
is Eagle and my longhouse (wilp) is Bayt Neekhl.
I had the privilege of growing up in the Yukon and different
small places in BC. My formal education was developed in Vancouver
BC where I finished high school and Post secondary.
My education background is in criminology and corrections.
I have many years of facilitating for the Canadian Armed Forces
in various fields. My work history varies from Youth Worker,
Corrections Officer, Probation/Parole Officer, Civilian Instructor
and many positions at Healing Our Spirit where I am presently.
My efforts in life will always be geared at assisting our
People, First Nations in the healing process from the colonial
effects. I will always work in the legal or health field and
my specific goal is to wait for some grey hair to show on
me, so I can become a strong NATIVE WOMAN POLITICAL LEADER.
